To balance the mayonnaise salad festival during the winter holidays, it is sometimes worthwhile to indulge in delicious food. And since not all restaurants will be open on holidays, in order to achieve them it is necessary to change the New Year’s nightgown, we offer to prepare a festive gourmet breakfast at home.
The Belgian waffle recipe with trout cream, cream cheese, cereal mustard, pistachio and dried cilantro was shared by chef Alexander Zwigun.
Belgian waffle recipe
- Wheat flour – 75 g
- Chicken eggs – 1 piece.
- Butter – 20 g
- Milk – 30 g
- Hard cheese (optional) – 50 g
- Pumpkin – 50 g
- Starch – 10 g
- Salt – a pinch
- Trout fillet without skin – 200 g
- Cream cheese – 75 g
- Dried tomatoes – 30 g
- Mustard beans – 15 g
- Salt – 2 g
- Pepper – 2 g
- Vegetable oil – 25 g
Grate the pumpkin and cheese in a bowl with a small grater, add the chicken egg, mix. Then we combine the milk with the butter, heat it on the stove, pour it in the pumpkin and cheese, sift the flour and starch. Knead the dough, salt. The dough should not be too thick.
Fry in a waffle iron. If you do not have a waffle iron, you can fry it in a pan.
Cut the trout into pieces, fry in vegetable oil and cool. Add cream cheese to the cooled trout, finely chopped dried tomatoes, mustard, season with salt and pepper.
Spread the fish cream on the waffle, decorate with lemon and sliced pistachio.
