Maple syrup cookies are a traditional American-Canadian breakfast.
What are pancakes and why are they good? Pancakes are a cross between pancakes and pancakes that we are used to, they are good because they are particularly fried in a dry pan, which means that they are quite dietary and low in fat.
- 200 ml of milk
- 140 g of flour
- 1 egg
- 40 g butter
- 25 g of sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- a pinch of soda
- a pinch of salt
First we prepare the dry mixture by adding the sifted flour, sugar, soda, salt and baking powder.
Beat the eggs until they froth, pour in the hot milk and mix.
Pour the egg-milk mixture into the flour mass and mix well so that no balls remain.
Melt the butter, add it to the prepared mass, mix gently, leave the dough to rest for a while.
Fry the cookies on medium heat for 1-2 minutes on each side, spreading the dough in small portions, about 2-3 tablespoons. After putting the dough in the pan, wait until the bottom is red and bubbles appear on the top, then turn it over.
Put the prepared pancakes on top of each other to heat.
On a note
Serve the cookies with any syrup, jam, honey or condensed milk.
Adjust the sweetness of the finished product by reducing or increasing the amount of sugar in the dough.
The pancake batter can be seasoned with vanilla, nutmeg or cinnamon.
It is best to use a non-stick or pancake pan. If the pancakes are sticky, lightly grease them with vegetable oil.
The pancakes can be baked by placing chopped fruit, nuts or chocolate on the surface of each after the bubbles appear.
